Presenting Advent's New Adjustable Tool Holders - Two Innovative Designs

Adjustable Thread Mill Tool Holders are now available for Cat and BT. (Lock tapers #30, #40, and #50.) This innovative new tool has shown an improvement of 35% to 60% over the standard tool holders in tool life alone!

To install this new tool holder the consumer needs to draw the tool holder into the spindle and adjust the rings to lock them to the face of the spindle. Remove the tool from the spindle and then tighten the set screws on the rings, place the tool holder in the tool changer and call up the tool. The adjusting ring on the tool allows the tool holder to be locked to the face of the spindle and to the taper at the same time. By increasing the amount of surface contact, this provides for greater rigidity creating greater tool life and higher productivity.

Using the Flangeloc® from Advent Tool an end user can convert their existing spindle tooling to a simutaneous fit system.  After measuring the gap between the flange and the spindle on a specfic machine and grinding the shims in the set to suit, drilling four holes in the flange of the toolholder, the consumer then mounts the shims to the flange with the provided bolts and nuts.  A quick and simple way of working on that tool that always chatters and has inconsistent tool life.  And best of all, it's simple!
