Based upon a standard tool, Advent Tool has perfected the insert form necessary to mill 3 or more splined teeth at a time in a traditional 4 Axis CNC machining center. Standard #ATM-410 inserts have often been used for unusual forms; but the ability to generate three accurate forms on a curved surface was key. High Helix Solid Carbide Tools Advent now produces this special High Helix Solid Carbide thread mills. A revolutionary new 30º helix tools CNC ground form solid sub-micron carbide. It is available in UN, ISO Metric, NPT and ACME sizes. Specials are also available upon request.
Replaceable Insert Drill & Thread Mills This is our new drill and thread mill tool being offered to the industry. At any company, innovation is preferred over the same old way of doing things. Our new drill thru and thread mill can make a difference. This tool can be used in place of two or three other tools to do the same operation.
Flangeloc (R) Presettable V Flange Tooling Ring As a company well regarded in the thread milling business, Advent sees its fair share of end users with tough applications with high side load pressures on relatively small spindles. Allowing the face of the spindle to mate with the tool - as well as the taper, has provided for a much more rigid setup allowing for a lot more productivity. Assemble these rings on your existing tooling after grinding them to suit the gap between your spindle and V-flange tool and you are all set!
New Double Ended Inserts for Greater Throughput One of our key design strengths is the length of the insert. But what if you don't need ALL of it because you have a short thread length application? Advent developed and has tested these tools and now presents a program that allows the end user to flip the insert over and mill anew. Primarily using the 410 class insert (1.5" Long), this design facilitates the ability to use more of the insert - Just like our customers wanted! The "Swiss Army Knife" of Corner Rounding Tools Using our patented insert locating technology, Advent Tool has generated a variety of radii and chamfer forms on two different inserts. Covering 1/32" through 5/32" on one (with plenty of room for a chamfer form) and 3/16" through 1/4" on the other - both ATM38A Class inserts use the same body - your choice, 3/4" or 1" shanks. Coolant through is standard.
Flange Form Milling Tool Some time ago Advent was presented with a unique problem - or so the customer thought. Manufacturing flanges for the fluid transmission industry should be pretty straightforward, right? Make the flange perpendicular with a good surface finish so that the joints are tight. Not so! This particular manufacturer cared not about the surface finish, but they needed consistency. Think about it, they needed a particular roughness that they could generate time and time again, without fail so that the gasket and bonding material between the joints would have something to stick to! Enter Advent tool with an adjustable "Plunge-Type" mill using 410 Class (1.5" Long) Inserts with the correct form on them to generate the precise "roughness" the customer wanted. Other versions of this tool allow for adjustability between flanges, encompassing lots of different diameters and, with in line insert "Ganging", different flange diameters can be milled as well - up to 3"!
